I began my career as a reporter in my hometown of South Bend, Indiana.
Armed with a camera and a nose for a compelling story, I delved head-first into the gritty world of reporting and learned all sorts of life lessons along the way.
Pitching, writing, shooting, editing – I did it all, delivering engaging, community-driven news stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
My efforts didn't go unnoticed; I was awarded an Emmy for my investigative reporting on meth-contaminated homes in Northern Indiana.
It was a glimpse of victory that left me wanting more, and I sought larger challenges in the Empire City of the South – the Atlanta, Georgia.
I honed my skills in The A as a Digital Video Producer for America’s largest newspaper, USA TODAY, as it made a major transition from print to online publishing.
During this time, I became a pioneer, helping to blaze a trail in uncharted territory with 'VRtually There,' a first-of-its-kind, virtual reality series that pushed the boundaries of immersive storytelling.
With powerful narratives, stunning visuals, and cutting-edge editing techniques, I learned to navigate the ever-changing landscape of modern journalism.
My desire for new frontiers continued, and in 2018, I embarked on another adventure, creating short-form video content for The Weather Channel’s hyperlocal streaming service, Local Now.
My small and scrappy team produced engaging news and lifestyle videos for more than 200 markets.
After COVID, I gained a profound appreciation for the brevity of life and embraced a new challenge in Public Relations for Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha, Nebraska.
As a Communications Manager, I am responsible for protecting and promoting one of the world’s most widely recognized and respected brands.
No other company has been a lens to as much American history over the last 160 years, and I feel honored to carry on the hard-won legacies of A.J. Russell and Alfred Hart.
I don’t know where this road will lead me next, but it promises to be an exciting journey.
